He was involved in art from a young age, and explored and refined his delicate technique in the prestigious Art School : La Llotja in Barcelona. After he completed his studies, he returned to Menorca, in which he currently teaches art and paints. Rafael is interested above all in still life. He considers himself as an ancient artist living in modern times, paints with respect for and deference to classical techniques. He has been finalist and winner of several national and international competitions, and has exhibited with great success in (among others) Spain, Italy, UK, Denmark, Germany, Finland, Japan, Canada and and South East Asia.
