Collective exhibition by Mariela Garibay and Frank Jensen.
Lima (Perú), 1976
Sculptor established in Barcelona in 2005, she works with marble, alabaster, ceramics, terracotta and bronze. Cold and hard materials in her hands become tender and innocent creatures that entertain us, enchant us, surprise us, transmit optimism, positive values and make us smile. Her “chubby”, as she calls them, seem to have life, a happy life, full of games, fun and good humor. The strength of his work is the result of the spontaneity of his subjects, the simplicity of the forms, his impeccable realization and magnificent finishes.
Salten (Dinamarca), 1956.
Frank Jensen comes from a family of plastic artists and musicians, from very young age he began to paint and travel.
After two years sailing through the Mediterranean, in 1991 he chose our country to settle down.
Jensen’s sensibility becomes apparent in his work. Paintings of a delicate beauty are the result of the combination of balance and elegance in the shapes, brave tonalities and careful treatment of textures.
From abstraction, subtly, Jensen tells us about life, small windows reveal their concerns and thoughts, the trips or their love for nature.
