Joan Longas studied Graphic Design and Illustration at the prestigious Massana Art School in Barcelona.

His style is realistic and in some of his pieces, he uses photographs as models. They are snapshots taken by himself, the artist considers them as part of the process of his work and always have something to do with his personal life. Having lived for many years in California has had a great influence on his compositions.
