Bach & Haydn, Barcelona Conservatory

In the most elegant area of Barcelona’s Eixample district, the Municipal Conservatory of Music has stood since 1927, a Noucentista building with a strong Modernist influence. The central interior courtyard is what surprises us most with its size and beauty, illuminated by a splendid glass skylight. The names of great musicians such as Schubert, Bach, Handel, and Haydn adorn the top of its walls. This building has inspired some of Keiko Ogawa’s works.
